Food Club® partners with Feeding America® to celebrate 80 years
Lance Bass of *NSYNC teams with brand, organization to promote partnership on The Kelly Clarkson Show
Food Club, along with brand partner Feeding America, has teamed up with Lance Bass— a multi-platinum GRAMMY® winner of boy band *NSYNC—to amplify their partnership with an appearance October 31 on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show. During the segment, Bass will highlight the partnership between the two brands.
This effort coincides with Food Club celebrating its 80th anniversary and its partnership with Feeding America.
“Through Food Club, we’ve established an impactful partnership with a nationally recognized organization like Feeding America, which has enabled us to join the fight to help end hunger by engaging our shoppers with a superstar like Lance,” said Rebecca Calvin, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Stater Bros. Markets and Topco member. “This effort has also provided a rare opportunity to put Own Brands in a national spotlight as we work to help eliminate food insecurity through Food Club. We know how much our shoppers feel connected to this brand and the significance it provides beyond the transaction, so to be able to partner with these organizations on a mission to end hunger in the communities we serve is a great way to celebrate Food Club’s 80 years.”
Earlier this month, Bass competed against A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys in a Boy Band Bake-Off to promote Food Club’s partnership with Feeding America. The bake-off challenged the stars to utilize Food Club ingredients to bake and decorate cakes to match notable album covers from the other musician’s career; Bass recreating the cover for BSB’s “Millennium” and McLean emulating the cover of *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached.” Fans voted for their favorite cake through social media channels, though ultimately both were declared winners, with each earning a donation in their name to Food Club partner Feeding America.
