Topco Partners with Salvation Army in the Fight against Hunger

In support of Topco’s Core Value of Social Responsibility, Topco is joining the fight against hunger as a sponsor of The Salvation Army’s 2018 Food Box campaign. This year, the Salvation Army expects to provide holiday dinners for nearly 11,000 families locally and more than 69 million meals to individuals across the United States.

So far, Topco has donated more than 1,000 turkeys (that’s 12,000 pounds of protein!) in support of the Salvation Army’s 2018 Food Box campaign.

Over the next several months, our contributions will come in a variety of ways, will expand across all our locations and will offer many volunteer opportunities for associates.

As the first project under this campaign, a handful of Topco Associates cleaned and painted the Salvation Army’s familiar red kettles that are seen outside of many of our members’ retail locations during the holiday season.

These volunteers included:

·       Nancy Antol, Corporate Communications

·       Charlie Conrads, Frozen

·       John Constabileo, Continuous Improvement

·       Xenia Escarcia, Brand and Marketing

·       Ivan Mak, Quality Assurance

·       Maureen Nosal-Weidenbach, Human Resources

·       Raychel Parker Dull, Member Services
