Topco's Center Store includes the Dairy/Bakery, Frozen, Grocery, Health & Beauty Care and General Merchandise programs. Together, these areas represent more than $4.3 billion in annual volume and purchase more than 4,600 items on behalf of Topco's membership. Approximately 20,000 orders are processed through these programs each month, which procure product from more than 500 suppliers. More than 42 members participate in the Topco's Center Store Private Label sector of business.
Utilizing Topco's aggregate volume, superior market knowledge, on-site inspection process, and national procurement coverage, members are able to serve as the dominant perishable merchant in their respective marketplaces in our Fresh Meat, Seafood, Branded Meat, Deli/Bakery, Produce and Floral programs.
By fully utilizing Topco's market intelligence, category expertise, buying power, and creative services, members are able to deliver superior value to their customers and remain competitive in the marketplace.
Topco’s Pharmacy program is the sixth-largest retail purchaser in the nation. Collectively, Topco harnesses the power of 19 member companies to achieve significant scale and savings on prescription drug purchases. Topco’s Pharmacy program also innovates and secures a wide variety of services such as electronic prescription switching, inventory control, managed care initiatives and accreditation.
When Topco members need to procure anything they need to operate, Indirect Spend Solutions is the highly engaged sourcing program they leverage. The not-for-resale offerings encompass hundreds of categories, including: construction, store equipment, distribution, IT/telecom, HR benefits, hired services, logistics, marketing, merchandising, office products, packaging, consumables, travel, utilities and waste solutions.
Topco's Fuel program aggregates fuel for fleet and for resale. This tremendous market leverage allows Indirect Spend to provide deeper savings than members could achieve buying independently.
Topco’s National Brands members represent the second-largest food retailer group in the United States. National Brands leverages the power of the membership to source and execute more than 160 incremental programs for its 37 participating member-owners.
