Center Store
Topco's Center Store includes the Dairy/Bakery, Frozen, Grocery, Health & Beauty Care and General Merchandise programs. Together, these areas represent more than $2.4 billion in annual volume and purchase more than 4,600 items on behalf of Topco's membership. Approximately 20,000 orders are processed through these programs each month, which procure product from more than 500 vendors. More than 50 members participate in the Topco's Center Store Private Label sector of business.


Topco's Dairy/Bakery program procures for its participating members a variety of dairy products including milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, butter, cheese and ice cream. Additionally, Topco's Dairy/Bakery program purchases bread, eggs and orange juice. Purchasing Managers purchase these items using competitive-bid and component-costing financial analysis. Team members work closely with colleagues in Co$trac, quality assurance and logistics to coordinate purchases. They also work with the logistics and packaging teams to ensure that high-quality dairy and bakery goods are delivered expeditiously to members. Purchasing managers act as watchdogs to ensure that federal nutritional guidelines and requirements are met by manufacturers and suppliers. The program also provides members with market intelligence industry trends and weekly pricing analysis to ensure competitive pricing for Topco members.


Topco's Frozen program sources one of the most robust frozen food product portfolio's in the U.S., with more than 500 SKUs in segments such as pizzas, waffles, french fries, vegetables, fruits and more. Topco's Frozen Food program provides end-to-end solutions that support Topco members' position as low-cost leaders and innovators, while enhancing their bottom line. Of special importance are new products, packaging, and processes that align with Topco's committment to health and wellness, sustainability and the emerging youth markets. Topco associates are continually looking for ways to create value and grow the member's corporate brand business in today's highly competitive marketplace.


Topco's Grocery program is comprised of grocery, non-grocery and commodity items. Program team representatives support supplier selection, product cost negotiation, promotion negotiation and order/process management. They work closely with on-site sales teams to coordinate purchases and logistics, maintain vendor relationships and streamline execution efforts. Procured grocery items include syrups, nuts, honey, pickles, canned fruits and vegetables, sauces, dressings and more. The Grocery team also purchases non-grocery items, such as pet foods, plates and cups, cutlery, cleaning products and more. Commodity items include soups, baking mixes, candy, pastas, many baking ingredients, carbonated beverages, cookies and more.

HBC/GM (Health and Beauty Care/General Merchandise)

Topco's Health and Beauty Care (HBC) program specializes in procuring health, beauty and personal care products under the Top Care brand, which represent $350 million in annual retail sales. The HBC program team manages and sources all products for members and provides value-added consumer marketing, display and promotional materials, bonus packages and special package product offerings. In addition to the Top Care brand, the HBC team provides members with the Tippy Toes by Top Care brand of baby care products, the b∙lēve brand of premium beauty and personal care products as well as the Full Circle line of natural personal care and nutritional supplement items. Topco's General Merchandise (GM) program sources and supplies members with more than 1,100 home and office items. Products include pet supplies, bakeware, cookware, charcoal, diapers, batteries, light bulbs and more. Primarily marketed under the X Brands: Domestix, Academix and Electrix, the program also supplies general merchandise products in PAWS Premium, Full Circle, Flocks Finest and store-owned brands.
